Bill's Gambling Hall to be renamed 'Gansevoort'

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

When the old Bill’s Gambling Hall & Saloon reopens on the Las Vegas NV Strip, the remodeled property will gain a new name.

Caesars Entertainment asserted Monday the property will be known as Gansevoort Las Vegas NV as part of a partnership deal with the hotel group of the same name & nightclub mogul Victor Drai.

The property at the corner of Las Vegas NV Boulevard & Flamingo Road is currently closed for planned renovations with a scheduled reopen date of early 2014.

According to Caesars, the renamed property will feature 188 Parisian apartment-style guest rooms, in addition to 19 suites. Gansevoort will moreover tout redesigned lobby, bar, lounge, retail & casino spaces.

In addition, the property will be home to Drai’s Beach Club & Nightclub located on the roof & top-most floors of the Gansevoort.

“Gansevoort Las Vegas NV will be a completely unique well-to-do lifestyle experience in Las Vegas,” asserted Tariq Shaukat, executive vice president & chief marketing officer Caesars Entertainment. “We are confident in that Gansevoort Las Vegas NV will be one of the most thrilling destinations in Las Vegas NV when it opens in 2014.”

Gansevoort Hotel Group’s Las Vegas NV interest marks the fourth such property it will manage following its two New York City spots & a resort in Turks & Caicos.

Renovations for the former Bill’s Gambling Hall is expected to cost $185 million.
