Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) – NASCAR is headed to the valley on March 6-9. Check out this list of events happening around the valley for race fans to enjoy.
Below are events happening at the Las Vegas NV Motor Speedway:
The Hauler parade
The annual yearly parade of haulers down the strip will kick-off Vegas NASCAR weekend. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. on the south end of the strip. It will proceed north to Sahara before heading on I-15 north to the Las Vegas NV Motor Speedway.
Free grandstand admission, ticket Gate C & Neon Garage open
11:30 a.m. – Ticket Gate C & Neon Garage opens.
Noon-4 p.m. – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series KOBALT 400 practice.
5 p.m. – Gates open at Dirt Track for World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars.
5 p.m. – Doors open for Speedway Children’s Charities NASCAR Driver Auction at Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall. Auction starts at 6 p.m.
7 p.m. – Neon Garage closes.
Stratosphere Pole Day
10:30 a.m. – Ticket gates, VIP suites & Neon Garage opens.
11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series KOBALT 400 practice.
12:40-1:30 p.m. – NASCAR Nationwide Series Boyd Gaming 300 practice.
2 p.m.-3:25 p.m. – NASCAR Nationwide Series Boyd Gaming 300 final practice.
3:35 p.m. – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Stratosphere Pole Day qualifying for KOBALT 400.
5:30 p.m. – Neon Garage closes.
6-8 p.m. – Kobalt Kampout RV Appreciation Party in the Neon Garage

9:35 a.m. – NASCAR Nationwide Series Boyd Gaming 300 qualifying.

12:40 p.m. – NASCAR Nationwide Series driver introductions.
1:15 p.m. – NASCAR Nationwide Series Boyd Gaming 300 (200 laps, 300 miles).

5-7 p.m. – Richard Petty Driving Experience rides.

8:30-9:30 a.m. – Speedway Children’s Charities Track Walk.
10 a.m. – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver & crew chief meeting (Neon Garage).
11:30 a.m. – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series KOBALT 400 driver introductions.
Noon – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series KOBALT 400 (267 laps, 400.5 miles).

The high speeds of NASCAR are making way to Las Vegas NV & Crazy Horse III will be offering a complimentary drink for those with race-day tickets. The famed gentlemen’s club will show all the race action in the daytime, as well as all the sexy late-night action every night from Friday, March 7-March 9.
Minus5 Ice Bar
The Minus5 ice Bar will offer a free Minus5 baseball cap to each guest purchasing a two cocktail package.
REO Speedwagon will take the stage at Fremont Street Experience for a free performance on the 3rd Street Stage. The iconic rock band will rev up crowds during the 11th Annual RaceJam with iconic songs including: “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Take It On the Run,” “Keep on Loving You,” “Roll with the Changes” & more.
