Wyclef Jean has blasted the Los Angeles Police Department for mistaking him for another guy after a nearby gas station was allegedly robbed.The singer and rapper tweeted out a video of himself standing next to a cops car with his hands cuffed, claiming the LAPD had committed “another case of mistaken identity”.”Black guy with red bandana robbed a gas station as I was in the studio working yet im in handcuffs?” he added.In the video, which was taken in the early hours of this morning, Wyclef stands next to two officers and speaks in to the camera.Wyclef stands next to two LAPD officers (Photo: Twitter)He tells the camera in that the cops have got the wrong guy (Photo: Twitter)”LA right now, coming from the studio with T-Baby, y’all see the cops have handcuffs on me, they just took off my Haitian bandana,” he says.”That’s what’s going on in right now with Wyclef in LA right now. The- LAPD have me in cuffs for without question nothing.”His friend, the rapper T-Baby, tweeted in reply: “Dem ppl wicked and offensive mind! Walk Free King!”As yet, there has-been no acknowledgment from the LAPD about the situation. It’s not clear whether Wyclef has-been arrested (taken in to custody) or if cops are waiting on further information.Mirror Celeb has contacted Wyclef’s representative and the LAPD for comment.
