A magnitude 5.6 earthquake was detected in northern North Korea on Sun., South Korea’s Yonhap News source Agency reported.
The quake was detected at 12:36 p.m. in North Koreaâ€™s North Hamgyeong province, Yonhap reported, citing info from the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).
Reuters gave the situation as 55 kilometers north northwest of Kimchaek, citing U.S. Geological Survey info. There have been no immediate reports of injury or casualties, the news source agency stated.
South Korea’s presidential workplace stated in that North Korea could have conducted its sixth nuclear test, the news source agency reported.
The quake came just hours after the regime of leader Kim Jong Un bragged of developing a more advanced nuclear warhead, Britainâ€™s Guardian reported. The- epicenter of the quake was estimated to be at 10 kilometers underground, the U.S. Geological Survey stated.
