A senior State Department official on Sat. stated Russia had complied with the U.S. order to vacate three diplomatic facilities, still denied Russian claims in that agents threatened to collapse doors at the compounds.

A Fb page for the Russian authorities published multiple videos purporting to show FBI agents invading the facilities Sat., after the State Department on Fri. told Russia it mustÂat offices in San Francisco, Washington, D.C. & NYC. The- U.S. made the move in response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to from the Kremlin.Â
Several videos published by the Russian authorities show people looking around diplomatic facilities in San Francisco & Washington, though all interactions seem cordial & non-confrontational. “Take a look at the video proof of unlawful actions by the U.S. authorities which in violation of international law & their very own legislation have invaded Russian diplomatic facilities & are conducting an ‘examination’ of the premises,” one Kremlin post reads.
A senior State Department official disputed the claims in that the U.S. acted not legal or improperly, & stated the State Department can affirm Russia complied with the order to vacate the premises.
“Today, Russian Embassy personnel, along with State Department officers, walked via three properties in San Francisco, New York NY & Washington, D.C. in that the Russian authorities is required to close,” the senior State Department official stated.Â
“These inspections have been carried out to secure & protect the facilities & to authenticate the Russian authorities had vacated the premises,” the official stated. “America is fully adhering to the Vienna Conference, U.S. law, & bilateral agreements in these actions in addition to in its calls for for Russia to draw down these diplomatic properties. The Department of State can affirm in that the Russian authorities complied with the order to vacate its Consulate & two annexes.
The official stated in that “accusations made by the Russian authorities, together with in that U.S. officers threatened to collapse doors within the relevant properties or in that the FBI is clearing the premises, are unfaithful.”
