Two pop stars are better than one! Taylor Swift’s new song, “Look What You Made Me Do, was remixed with Britney Spears’ 2004 mega hit “Toxic — & the outcomes are flawless.
Popular YouTube creator Andy Wu let go the mashup after Swift’s video for the song premiered at 2017 MTV (Music Television) Video Music Awards. Wu’s mashup video starts with a phone ringing & the “Gimme Moreâ€ singer saying her very popular phrase: “It’s Britney, b–ch!â€ Swift responds with, “Don’t call me that!â€ like she does in her new video.
Swift’s vocals are completely in sync with Spears’ song, & though the 1st single from the “Out Of The- Woods” singer’s upcoming album, Reputation, is a bit slower paced, it involves life when the upbeat sounds from “Toxicâ€ are introduced.
The “Toxicâ€ video’s well-known scenes are featured within the mashup, mixed with scenes from the “LWYMMD” video. Both songs feature lyrics about somebody who has wronged the singers, and the way these relationships affected them. Wu seamlessly combines the lyrics, making the chorus: “Look what poisonous made me do, do not you know in that you simply’re poisonous?â€
Since its release, the mashup video has received greater than 440,000 views on YouTube & greater than 11,000 likes. The- creator, who’s a university student from Taiwan, has-been known to remix very popular songs and sometimes combines a brand new tune with another hit song, akin to Lady Gaga’s “Good Illusion” with Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For.”
The unique video for “Look What You Made Me Do has-been breaking records since its debut. The- video garnered greater than 28 million views within the 1st 24 hours of its release, beating the 2017 record previously held by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito remix in that includes Justin Bieber, with 20 million views.
