Marilyn Manson should take a while off the road.
The “Heaven Upside Down” rocker has postponed shows from Oct. 2 to Oct.14 while he recuperates in L.A. from an onstage injury he suffered at his New York City concert on Sat., his representative tells ET.
“On Sat. night, the legendary performer suffered an injury on stage in the direction of the complete of his set at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom inflicting him to cut the show short,” the representative states. “He was treated for the injury at an area hospital & might be recuperating at home in L.A..”
“The shows from Boston, Oct. 2 by means of Houston, Oct. 14 will probably be rescheduled for a after date,” the representative provides. “Manson hopes to return to the stage soon, more details on upcoming shows to follow.”
Despite pausing his tour, the representative confirms in that Manson’s 10th studio album, “Heaven Upside Down,” can be let go this Fri. as planned.
On Sat., the 48-year-old performer was about 45 minutes in to his set, performing a canopy of Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Product of This),” when he tried to climb a podium flanked by two large, pretend handguns. The- prop instantly toppled over, inflicting the show to return to an abrupt finish. After the stage crew lifted the prop back up, Manson reportedly laid on the bottom for several minutes, at which point, EMT staff rushed to the backstage area, as place staff shouted for ice.
