President Donald Trump‘s Twitter account password was a little predictable.
Victor Gevers, a Dutch security researcher at the GDI Foundation and chair of the Dutch Institute for Vulnerability Disclosure, revealed that he was able to access the President’s Twitter account last week by guessing the password.
He was able to access the account by guessing the password: “maga2020!”.
The researcher told TechCrunch he guessed the president’s account password and was successful on the fifth attempt. There was also no two-factor authentication set up.
After he logged in, he emailed US-CERT, a division of Homeland Security’s cyber unit Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), to reveal the security breach, which TechCrunch also confirmed. There’s also a screenshot from inside his account. The password has since been changed.
This is the second time the researcher was able to gain access into the account, following his 2016 attempt. The password then was “yourefired,” his catchphrase from The Apprentice.
The President is now attacking this TV host after walking out on an interview.
