In case you missed it, the 25-year-old actor shared a video from a Zoom audition that he did recently in which he caught the director insulting his apartment while accidentally assuming he was on mute.
Lukas had an amazing response to the trash-talking and told the director to give him the job so he could get a better apartment.
In the comments on his Instagram video, we learned that Lukas did NOT get the part, but that he did land a role in a new project with Molly Shannon that is currently filming in Hawaii!
Emmy Rossum, Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas, January Jones, Dakota Fanning, Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo, Wilmer Valderrama, Lucy Hale, Brittany Snow, Sophia Bush, and Paul Mescal are just some of the names who left comments on the post. You can see screencaps of all the comments in our photo gallery.

Bro you could not have handled this better

Agreed! That is NOT a shitty apartment. Not that it should matter for the audition anyway. Sorry, you had to take that in—before an audition, no less.

I CANNOT IMAGINE EVEN HAVING THAT THOUGHT YOUR APARTMENT LOOKS VERY NICE

Thank for you for posting this. We are all with you! You’re a class act and from the way you responded to this must be a joy to work with. Your apt looks pretty great to me and honestly, f that dude, he doesn’t deserve to work with someone like you

@lukasgage you handled this moment so well. I once overheard a casting director say I wasn’t “Hollywood pretty”. People can be thoughtless and rude but you get to decide if they have power over you. ❤️

I love you man. Classiest and best response. I honestly don’t know what I would have done but I sure as hell wouldn’t have been as cool and collected as you were.

Well done for handling that patronising British twerp with such good grace. 👏

Your apt is great and that guy can fuck off
— Aimee Carrero (@aimeecarrero) November 21, 2020
If he thinks THAT’S a shitty apartment, then I’d hazard a guess that he’s not of the Ken Loach school.
— Rufus Sewell (@FredrikSewell) November 21, 2020
Brother, your apartment is dope, as is your response. This clip is better than whatever job that was.

Fuck this dude, your apt looks lovely, and you handled this with such grace. Amazing.
