“Free tickets to ‘The Suicide Squad’ will be given to those at the Atrium Stadium Cinemas box office for the 7:20pm & 8pm showings only,” the theater wrote on Instagram.
“Say you’re ‘Friends with Pete’ at the door and you will get to see ‘The Suicide Squad’ for FREE thanks to Pete Davidson,” the announcement continued.
The movie theater’s owner Gregg Scarola spoke to SI Live about Pete’s decision to rent out out the theater.
“It was all Pete’s idea, he reached out to us saying he wanted to give back to the community,” Gregg shared. “This is a type of movie that has to been seen on the big screen. We have our best screens and auditoriums ready to go.”
He added, “He grew up in this community and it means a lot for him to reach out to us — a local theatre — not just a chain. Not enough has been said about what he does for the community, he’s a really cool guy.”
If you missed it, Pete recently jokingly called out this Oscar nominee!
The Suicide Squad is out in theaters now and is available for streaming on HBO Max.
