CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin has released a statement after an alleged incident where he exposed himself during a work Zoom call.
In a statement, the 60-year-old lawyer said, “I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers. I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video.”
The call apparently took place last week and was with colleagues at New Yorker and WNYC radio. He has since been suspended from the New Yorker, saying, “Jeffrey Toobin has been suspended while we investigate the matter.”
CNN has also given him time off, saying in a statement, “Jeff Toobin has asked for some time off while he deals with a personal issue, which we have granted.”
