Graham is the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and he was in charge of Supreme Court Justice nominee Amy Coney Barrett‘s confirmation hearings.
As the Republicans wrapped the hearings with a plan to vote on Barrett‘s confirmation, Feinstein gave Graham a hug and she even praised how he handled the hearings.
“Mr. Chairman, I just want to thank you,” Feinstein said. “This has been one of the best Senate hearings that I’ve participated in, and I want to thank you for your fairness and the opportunity of going back and forth… Thank you so much for your leadership.”
People on Twitter are now pointing out Feinstein‘s age for multiple reasons. For one thing, she’s 87 and hugged another person without wearing a mask even though she’s clearly at risk for coronavirus. Also, people are questioning whether there should be an age limit for people serving in office. Others on the opposite spectrum are saying that she’s 87 and still works incredibly hard.

Is Feinstein nuts? She’s 87 years old, and just hugged Lindsey Graham, neither of them wearing a mask. The woman could easily die. Not to mention, she just gave Lindsey Graham credibility for these hearings.

Don’t call Dianne Feinstein’s office. She’s 87, plans to die in office, and doesn’t care about your input.
Call every other Democratic senator and demand that they give the judiciary committee chairmanship to someone other than the senile senator from California.

Folks talking about how old Dianne Feinstein is, that she’s 87.
RBG was 87 and her youthful spirit fueled her fight for civil/human/women’s rights until her dying breath.
It’s not Feinstein’s age that’s the issue. It’s her capitulation, complacency, and inability to evolve.

“She’s 87” is trending and people are calling for term limits on a 87 yo lady who just got voted in 2 years ago b/c she hugged a person who refuses to get tested for covid while they’re replacing an 87 yo who died in a lifetime appointed seat.
1 Pickaxe Lobotomy please.

.@SenFeinstein has long needed to go.
She’s 87 and hugged Lindsey Graham, who may or may not have Covid-19, without a mask. Stupid.
Even worse, she validated this sham of a confirmation hearing & praised this wholly unqualified nominee.
(including for the SCOTUS)

She’s 87? Never mind Dianne Feinstein hugging Lindsey Graham, why is she still allowed to be a senator? I’m not ageist but She’s 87 ffs and without wanting to sound rude, it’s impossible to fulfil all her senate and political obligations at that age.

We need term limits for all public office, including the Supreme Court. She’s 87

It’s sad to see so-called Progressives going after Feinstein because she’s 87. She’s more astute than most people half her age. #ageism is not a Progressive value.

People have a right to agree or disagree with Dianne Feinstein’s opinions or actions.
But to comment on her age and asking her to retire just on the basis that she’s 87 years old is NOT appropriate!
It’s time to end ageism!

“She’s 87” is trending right now because Democrats think Dianne Feinstein should retire.
You know who else was 87? Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
