Tatiana Maslany is denying the reports that she will be starring in Marvel’s upcoming She-Hulk series, which is reportedly going to Disney+.
The 35-year-old Emmy-winning actress was announced as the star of the series last month and even Mark Ruffalo, who plays The Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, congratulated her.
In an interview with The Sudbury Star, Tatiana denied she’s playing the role.
“That actually isn’t a real thing and it’s like a press release that’s gotten out of hand. It’s totally not — I’ve been connected to these things in the past and press has gotten onto it, but it’s not actually a thing, unfortunately,” she said.
The character, named Jennifer Walters, is an attorney who gets an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin that gives her powers, “but unlike Banner/Hulk, She-Hulk was able to keep her intelligence and personality when she Hulked out,” according to Deadline.
