The new movie Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, the sequel to the iconic 2006 movie Borat, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video and the film introduces us to actress Maria Bakalova!
The 24-year-old actress plays Tutar, the daughter of Borat, who he discovers to be the oldest unmarried woman in Kazakhstan at just 15.
Tutar becomes the focus of the movie as Borat plans on delivering her to an American politician in hopes of erasing the disgrace he brought on Kazakhstan from the first Borat movie.
While making the movie, the studio hid Maria‘s identity from the public and she was originally credited as “Irina Nowak,” according to The Daily Beast.
Maria has been acting for the last five years and she has starred in several international projects, but this is her first American film. On her Instagram page, we can see that she recently moved to Los Angeles, she’s a trained musician and plays the flute, and she’s an animal lover.
