The 26-year-old 11:11 Colombian reggaeton star and the After Hours entertainer came together for a remix to Maluma‘s hit “Hawái,” out Thursday (November 5).
The Weeknd sings in both Spanish and English for the very first time on the remix.
“I have always admired The Weeknd so it feels nothing short of a dream come true to have him collab on ‘HAWÁI’ Remix – he brought another flow to it and sang in both Spanish and English which is impressive,” said Maluma.
The track was co-written by Maluma, The Weeknd, Keityn, Edgar Barrera and Bull Nene, and was produced by the Rude Boyz.
The remix video was shot by renowned director Jessy Terrero of Cinema Giants, taking place in Los Angeles and featuring both artists.
The song has remained at No. 1 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart for eight weeks, and No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Streaming Songs chart for nine weeks, as well as No. 1 on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart for three weeks.
